Ryan is the leader of LIFE Teen at St. Theresa’s. Ryan graduated from Brophy College Prep in 1998 and went on to study Human Communications at Arizona State University. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in the fall of 2003. Ryan became involved in the LIFE Teen program in 1997 as a junior in high school. After graduating high school, he joined the core team in 1999 and became the Assistant Youth Minister in 2000. During this time he coordinated the Jr. High Alive program at St. Theresa’s. In 2003, Ryan became the Youth Minister and took over the role of leading the LIFE Teen program. That same year Ryan got married, and in 2005 he and his wife had their first daughter. When Ryan is not at St. Theresa’s he enjoys spending time with his wife, playing with his daughter, playing guitar and bass, practicing his baseball skills (both on the field and with video games) and reading.

Brandon Averbeck

Brandon is 20 years old and has been on core since 2004. He attends Scottsdale Community College and is perusing a career in education. Brandon enjoys playing the guitar, video games, playing sports (especially basketball), praying and just hanging out with his friends.

Andy Meacham

Andy graduated from Brophy in 2005 and is now a student at Arizona State University. He is currently working towards earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He works at Honeywell during the summer as an intern. Andy started his time on core in 2006 and is in the process of taking over the website!!

Kristan Jakubczyk

Kristan is the oldest of 11 and has been on core since 2003. She studied education at Arizona State University and has taught high school at Ville de Marie Academy since 2002. She gives piano lessons and plays at the 6pm Mass. When Kristan is not teaching, singing, or helping with LIFE Teen you will find her working crosswords and sudokus, and going ballroom dancing.

Jaime Howe

Jaime joined St. Theresa’s LIFE Teen as a junior in high school. She graduated from Xavier College Prep in 2000, and became a core member in 2001. She now works at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a registered nurse. She enjoys painting, drawing, knitting, reading, musicals, hanging out with family and friends, and having fun in general. (She is Ryan’s favorite core member, and also the prettiest, most talented, and the smartest according to a poll taken by Jaime herself.)

Chris is currently attending school at Scottsdale Community College. He also works full time at a metal shop where he operates an industrial cutting laser. When away from school and work, Chris enjoys backpacking, cooking, and drawing. He graduated from Arcadia High School in 2004, and has been on core since 2005.
