Group after Aaron Thompson and Soul Pigeon Concert.
Travel Log
Wake up call was at 7am this morning. We ate breakfast at the hotel,
packed up and left around 8:20am. We attended a small Catholic church for Catechesis
and Mass with several other groups visiting Toronto for World Youth Day. It was a
good way to start the day before we departed for a two hour bus tour of the city.
After the tour we spent time browsing a shopping mall where we also had lunch. Then
we all boarded the street car and headed over to a place called Island Club where we
watched a performance of Aaron Thompson and Soul Pigeon featuring Mike W. It was a
lot of fun - Mike and everyone did a great job. After the concert we ate dinner in a
nearby field, then boarded the street car and headed for home. It was another
eventful day - everyone had a good time.
Diary from Cindy
Breakfast has slightly improved. This morning we went to a catechesis given by the
archbishop of Denver. After the catechesis (which was on teens being the salt of the
earth) we had mass with about 100 other teens - before mass started a choir from
Rochester, NY had us practice the music we'd be singing at mass. I happened to be sitting
next to Brian H. When the woman who was in charge started demonstrating "how to dance
and get into the music" by step-step, clap-clap, turn, Brian turned to me and said
"I didn’t sign up for dance lessons?" It was extremely funny and took great
effort for me to stifle my giggles. Then we took a bus tour around Toronto, stopped for
lunch and walked around. Some girls and I went to a dollar store which strangely, should
have been called the one to fifteen dollar store because about two items in the whole
store were under one dollar. Later on we saw Mike (from the choir) and Aaron Thompson
perform. The music was awesome and dancing around was fun. Dinner rolled around and
was… interesting. Well it's finally lights out, thank you for your prayers and I miss
