July 29, 2002, Day 8

Hello, hello!!!
Travel Log
This morning we woke up at 6am to get ready to head home. This was early, but not
as early as the 3am wake-up-call the other group received for their flight. After
eating a really fast breakfast of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and a biscuit, we loaded up the
bus and headed to the airport. At the airport we checked in our bags and said our
goodbyes to Magdalena. She did a great job with the whole trip, and even
complimented our group on being very flexible and fun, as well as having a great attitude.
After a quick flight to Newark, NJ, we boarded our last flight for home. The
flight seemed long at 5 hours, but maybe more so because we were anxious to get home and
exhausted from the whole week. We landed at 2:30pm Phoenix time to be met by a whole
bunch of parents and friends. In the airport, we also got to see Fita at work -
after she did an announcement we all cheered which greatly embarassed her. With the
pilgrimage over, everyone went home and crashed. It was an awesome experience - one
that all of us will never forget.
Thank you for your support of our Program and teens by checking out this website, and
most especially for your prayers. Our teens are on fire now, and are ready to be the
Light of the World, and the Salt of the Earth (Mt 5:13-14). :)
