Dear Damien, 8-13-2000
I hope that all is still well with you and that you are getting these
messages. I just watched your video and read your journal entry yesterday and
they are really deep. It seems like you are getting into the spiritual side of
the trip. I think that this will end up being very beneficial for you. I just
wish that I was there to experience those things too. The Big World Youth DAy
celebration is coming up. I bet you're excited. I know that before I said not
to worry about calling me, but I miss your voice so much. Your mom also would
love to hear from you. School is creeping up so quickly. I now have 2.5 books
left. I still have to buy all of my school books though. Yesterday I died my
hair brown again because it kept getting lighter. It is kinda dark, but I know
that it will fade. Dixie just keeps getting worse. I also gave her a bath
yesterday. I have to do some more reading now, so I'll hopefully talk to you
soon. I love you lots.

Well here is your second message from me. I hope that you are having a
good time there. Happy 6th Month! I miss you so much!!!I am trying to stay busy
with my reading. Yesterday I finished Catcher in the Rye...godd book. Today I
am starting The Tao of Pooh. It is kind of confusing because the book keeps
going back and forth between Pooh bear stories and Chinese Taoism philosophies.
Yesterday Adam got his wisdon teeeth pulled. I am spending the night at
Benedicte's house tonight instead of last night. JO got me an Irish Cladder
Ring from Ireland, and one for Jenny. That was sweet. Anyways, I have to go
now so I'll write you again soon. Don't worry about calling me if you can't get

Hey Damo,
I hope that you are having a good time in Europe right now. I miss you so
much and I wish more than anything that I could be there with you all. I feel
like I've missed the chance of a lifetime but at the same time there has got to
be some reason that I am supposed to stay home. I don't know. Do you know what
I am trying to say?? Anyways I haven't exactly been bored here. Yesterday was
Jenny's birthday and so I had to spend all day cleaning and shopping. And then
I still have to read those three and a half books before school, which is in
like a week. Today Jo and I went to get her car's emmisions tested and to
Xavier to fix my schedule. Then we went to life teen with the 8 or 9 other
people. Yesterday we went to the Madigans house and watched Event Horizon with
Pat and Will and Robert. Tat was a freaky movie, especially because it started
to rain and thunder and lightning right outside. And you know how the Madigans
have that huge picture window. Anyways, tomor!
row Jo and I are spending the night at Benedicte's house. Your mom says to call
her collect to get the correct instructions for the calling card. I miss you
and I love you. I have to go now, it is midnight here. Bye bye.
