Whaazzzuuuuuuppp!
(yeah, I know, that phrase is gettin' way over-played).
It's rather boring here without ya all. Just working, working out, running,
etc. My 22nd b-day came and went. Jessica Mayette, Harold, Ken & Susan took me
to Tony Romas for ribs (sorry Jeff, didn't save you any). It was cool. Matt,
we gotta party-up big time when ya get back for your 22nd. Dude, we're getting
old. I'm at ASU writing my last research paper for Ecuador. I've been here for
8 hours! Ohmygoodness! Procrastionate? Me? Naahhh! I work best under
pressure. Being back on campus makes me feel all funny inside. One more
semestre! I should be finishing up this awesome 'A+++' paper (ha, ha). Talk to
ya all soon.
Love and God Bless,
Ed Yong :)

Hello Everyone!
We have been following your travels and really enyoy the sights and sounds of
the journey. Mamie traveled abroad a couple of years ago and her itinerary
closely paralled yours. She enjoyed Paris, however, her favorite was Rome and
the visit to the Vatican. She was fortunate to see Pope John Paul, from a
distance of course. We are extremely happy for of all of you and proud that you
are such great ambassadors for St. Theresa Parish.

May God Bless You

You guys there is so much to tell you! It is so hard first of all not
to be jealous of you guys. I know that if I went I would be so sick from all
the traveling. I got back on the 7th at 9:45...left the airport at 10:30 went
to my cousins house, Katherine's, went home, heard you guys were at the
airport....and I just got in my car and took off full speed to the airport.
Unfortuntely I didn't know where to park so I ended up parking in east economy.
That was a mistake. I finally got to the terminal. I ran so fast to your gate.
I was so glad to see you all!! I mean I couldn't wait another month not to see
you guys! I am sorry I didn't get to see all the people that had already
boarded! But I know that you guys are having fun.

Back here has been very hectic. I have doing so many errands getting ready to
go back to school. I got a CD PLayer in my car!! Megan Madigan you know what
that means! We can blast our favorite tunes! Pat and Becky helped me pick it
out. I went to Life Teen on Wed. that was so much fun!!!! We just partied!
Then we all went over to Erin's house and I was walking in and Fita jumped out
and scared the bajebbas out of me!!! Oh plus, a lot of us decided to put off our
summer reading till the last minute...yeah me, three books!!

But on a very sad note, I would really appreciate it if you guys would do some
praying for a friend of mine. Miss Puype is one of the greatest ladies you
would ever meet. She is beautiful and has such a warm heart. She has a daughter
who is around 12 years old. She went to the doctor the other day complaining of
blindness in her eyes, and being only 40 she was very concerned. Later they
diagnosed her with an inoperable tumor in her brain. NO radiation, nothing can
save her. They have given her two weeks to a month to live. Please pray for
her and her daughter. This woman is so very special. She is one of those
people that you are lucky when their life passes yours.

I love you all and miss you! AND ALL OF YOU BETTER SEND ME A POSTCARD OR I WILL
BE PRETTY MAD WENT I SENT LIKE EVERYONE ONE FROM IRELAND....BYE, LOVE< JO GIRL
MISS ME!

Here's the correct spelling for goodbye in French:
au revoir

Have fun!

Greetings from St. Theresa in Phoenix to our family on Pilgrimage!

It's Saturday morning at 9:25 as I write this; a slightly overcast hot and
monsoony day. I've just had a look at the website - what cool pictures (and
movie clips) of the pilgrimage so far! All of you look like you are totally
enjoying yourselves (although Fr. Jim hanging out on the Paris streetcorner
looks like he might be enjoying himself a little too much... who's his
chaperone??)

I'm sure that you felt a real connection with Ste. Therese in Lisieux... I know
that I did when I visited there last summer. Probably where I felt this most
strongly was not, oddly enough, in the Carmel or the Basilica... but rather in
the Cathedral when I spent time praying in that spot where Theresa used to pray
(there is a fairly contemporary statue of Therese there now). It was wonderful.

I just received a call from Judy Ray who said she spoke to Eric as you all were
preparing to board the overnight train to Perugia and Assisi. I remember on my
first trip to Europe taking the bus (a regular bus, not a tourbus) from Rome to
Perugia and Assisi with my friend Fr. Mike Straley. What an experience that
was, with all the local people on that packed bus! It was great - then, Assisi
was awesome in its simplicity. Assisi is one of the most peaceful and holy
places I've ever been (and I've visited there three times now)... I think that
the spirits of Saints Francis and Clare are still very much alive there. It
will be good to experience the tranquility and simplicity of Assisi before going
to the chaos and majesty of Rome.

You have been in my prayers everyday since your departure; at each of my Masses
we are remembering you in the prayer of the faithful. May God continue his great
work in your lives as he strengthens you in holiness and grace on this
pilgrimage!

love & prayers,

Fr. Chuck

All viewers of site

Hello everyone, this is Matt Lowry. Things are moving along well.
We're in Paris for a couple hours before taking the overnight train
to Pisa. I just downloaded all the messages for the pilgrims and will show
them to them individually when I can. Thank you for all of your prayers.
We're praying for you guys all the time. It's great having two priests with
our group because we're able to have Mass every day. We love you all! Thanks
for all your support!

God Bless,

Matt

Hi, Everyone!
This website is so GREAT! It is so much fun to see pictures of all of you and
the places that you are visiting! It helps to see that you all are healthy,

learning everyone's name! I am telling all my friends,co-workers and neighbors
about it and you have NO idea how many other people are also following your

To our wonderful pilgrims

Hello everyone!!!!!

Just wanted all of you to know that I miss you all very much. From just looking
at all of the pictures you have sent, I feel as though I were there. But then I
realize it's 120 degrees out, then it's back to reality. Well, everyday has
been hard to go through without any of you, everyday seems like a week, and
everyweek seems like a month. So, in other words, I have no life without any of
you. But my prayers are with you all.
Joe, I am trying to keep Sonics busy. EJW, prayer group on wendsday went very
well, until they realized that I was the only core member there. They took
advantage of the fact and tied me to a couch and played N'SICK. So, as you can
see everything out here is going as planned. J/K
Anyhow, don't forget our prayers are with you all. And don't forget God loves
you and we do too. Missin you all like crazy. God bless.

Hi guys!

This is the first time we visit the site. We attend the Youth Mass every sunday
and we wanted to let you know that we wish you have a wonderful experience on
your trip.

I know you may be busy and excited, but if possible, please include in your
prayers our family. We are facing a hard time; however, we know God is with us
and it is now that we can feel more his presence.

Good bless you all.

Hey everyone,

I am glad that all of you are safe and that you all are having a wonderful
time in Europe. All of us here in Phoenix really miss you guys a lot. The
pictures, travel logs, and movies are really great.....keep 'em coming. Hey
Joe, I went down to Sonic and they said there business has been slow the past
couple of days.....so I bought a Lemon Berry in your honor. It was so
refreshing. Again, thanks for keeping us in your prayers as we are keeping all
of you in our prayers. Be safe and God Bless.

Hey, I hope all you kids are having a good time. From the pictures,
movies, and journal entries that seems to be the case. Back home we are all
praying for you guys. Fita held the prayer night last night and it was simple
yet good. Next week Pat Madigan will head the meeting and from what I've heard
it should be interesting. Anyways I love and miss you all. Keep in touch.
Love,
Becky W.

For all of our darling friends in Europe,

Everyone at prayer on Wednesday (Erin K., Fita Goat, Becky W., Jo Girl, Ben K.,
Robert B., Auggie Dawg, Ghetto, JP, Maryellen, and 2 of Ben's German friends),
missed every single one of you that night. The first thing that we all said to
each other was that we miss you, already. IT'S ONLY BEEN 3 DAYS !!! Prayer
went it's best, but without the guitars and voices the night just wasn't the
same. After listening to a song on the CD player and saying part of a rosary,
we all decided to party, of course! :) We are living it up over here! Only
after we tied Fita to a couch and trashed the Life room, though. Hey thanks
EJW, if that's your real name, for leaving Fita in charge. She's so cool. She
said that we could stay in the Life room all night long. But we, being the good
Catholics that we truely are, told her no because our wonderful youth minister
would not like it if we did. So as you can see, we are all doing fantastic back
home. Hey each of us gets our own couch!! !
What more could you ask for?
Well, dear friends, we must go! Enjoy your journey through Europe and know that
with Fita in charge, everything is hunky dorey!! Thanks Eric and Jason for
leaving everything in her hands-you're so nice!! Write to us soon-we actually
do miss you guys--believe it or not!

Love always,

the gang in Phoenix

Have fun - enjoy - you are in our prayers!

I set up this form so that the pilgrims and everyone back in AZ can write messages to each other.
If the message is for a specific person, I'll put a link above to that message.

Everyone have fun in France and Italy.
